Comedian Katt Williams has officially been charged with burglary and criminal trespassing by a magistrate in Coweta County, GA — his bond was set at $41,150.

Williams was arrested this morning, after cops say a man named Daniel Broach claimed the comedian broke into his home on Sunday night and stole $3,555 worth of jewelry and collectable coins. (continue reading…)

Lil’ Wayne pleads guilty to gun charge: faces one year in jail

Rapper Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted weapons possession charges today (October 22).

Rapper Shyne is expected to be released from prison today, as initially reported on HipHopDX this August. The 30 year-old rapper a/k/a Jamal Barrow was sentenced to 10 years in June of 2001 for charges stemming from a high-publicized 1999 shooting incident involving Diddy and Jennifer Lopez. During his eight-plus year sentence, the Brooklyn emcee was incarcerated at Riker’s Island, Woodbourne and Clinton Correctional Facility. (continue reading…)

Max B sentenced to 75 years in jail…

Today (September 3), former Dipset associate Charly “Max B” Wingate was sentenced to 75 years behind bars for his part in a fatal 2006 robbery.

The rapper’s step brother, Kelvin Leerdam, was sentenced to life in prison plus 35 years for his role in the crime.

Both Wingate and Leerdam looked resigned when Superior Court Judge Harry G. Carroll sentenced them in Hackensack, New Jersey. Wingate said he was not happy with his attorney, (continue reading…)

Papoose Implicated In Rikers Island Slashing Of 2 Inmates

PapooseA recent article in the New York Post has linked Brooklyn rapper Papoose to a 2006 slashing at Rikers Island jail.

According to an unnamed source, Papoose was pressured by members of the Bloods street gang to give a signal to inmates during a performance at Rikers, who intern initiated an attack on two prisoners. Papoose was at Rikers Island for a concert that was designated for low risk inmates. During the concert Papoose reportedly flashed a gang sign which lead to two men being slashed.
